What We Do
Our studios operate on a quarterly basis with dance classes running alongside the Malta academic system from October through to June of the following year with a performing arts Summer Programme from July to September as well as facilitating ad-hoc specialised workshops. Now with over 500 students annually, each are able to participate in our annual dance school production - a highlight of the scholastic year with a breath-taking performance display ahead of the Easter break for an audience of some 1000 individuals and covering all the dance styles in our portfolio of classes. Throughout the scholastic year students are professionally trained working toward performances, dance competitions and optional examinations across a range of performance disciplines facilitated via various overseas examining boards. We also organise multiple annual dance holiday experiences to international competitions and dance workshop festivals.
About Us
At Dance Project Studios (Pembroke, Malta), founded in 2007 by Kristina Ann Schranz and Matthew Bianco, we amalgamate various forms of the performing arts. We place a particular focus on merging various classical dance styles with the latest commercial MTV-style street moves and funky jazz fusions. We offer dance classes in a range of styles of Classical Ballet, Commercial and Jazz alongside examination preparatory classes for Acro Dance, Cecchetti & Legat Ballet, Modern Theatre, Musical Theatre, Street, Spanish Dance and Tap Dance working up to vocational level. Furthermore, we developed the very first and only structured Hip Hop dance programme available in Malta.
Over the years the portfolio of disciplines offered at Dance Project Studios has continued to evolve and currently also includes Acro Dance, Legat System Ballet, Modern Contemporary, Progressing Ballet Technique, Street Dance and a Musical Theatre Programme which covers Vocal, Drama and Musical Theatre Jazz.
We coordinate multiple annual Dance Experiences as a form of cultural exchange. These engaging holiday experiences to international dance workshop festivals and performance events as well as participation in local and world dance competitions are highly rewarding for all participants. In addition, from time to time we also commission the services of industry-leading artists in order to conduct local workshops that further increase the experience value and exposure for our students.
All classes take place out of the professionally equipped and fully air-conditioned Dance Project Studios in Pembroke, Malta.

My dance training commenced under the watchful eye of Ms Kristina back in 2007 at the age of 16 when Dance Project Studios had just kicked off.
Having trained in various styles of dance at DPS from Street Jazz to Ballet and with particular guidance from Ms Kristina, I was selected for a 3 year college Diploma in Dance, Voice & the Performing Arts and ISTD teaching degrees from Margaret Howard Theatre College, now Momentum PA in London.
With a solid and extensive foundation from DPS, and having graduated from MHTC in 2017, I have since performed all around the world from The West End to cruise ships as well as at several prestigious resorts around the world.
DPS undoubtedly enabled me to pursue my performance dreams through excellent teaching practices and the encouraging words of Ms Kristina for which I am eternally grateful.
Joining Dance Project Studios at 13 was undoubtedly the best choice I have made in my life thus far!
DPS taught me to dream big, and I have now graduated from London Studio Centre with a BA Hons in Theatre Dance specialising in Jazz Dance.
